Referral Bonus Requirements and Eligibility
The bonus is not paid simply for creating an account. To qualify, all of the following need to be true:

When and where the bonus is paid
The $25 referral bonus is typically deposited into your Wealthsimple Chequing account within 24 hours after your qualifying deposit is processed. If you do not already have a Chequing account, you will need to open one to receive the bonus.

Adding a Referral Code After You Have Signed Up
Missing the referral link during signup is not necessarily the end of it. What you can do depends on whether you have funded your account yet.
- Not funded yet: you can add the referral code at any time using the steps in the app.
- Already funded: you have 7 days after your first deposit to enter the code.
- 30-day window expired: the referral relationship expires, but you can re-enter the code before your first deposit.
Because these windows are short, it is worth entering the code before you move any money into the account.
Wealthsimple Trade Referral Code
"Wealthsimple Trade" is the name many Canadians still use for Wealthsimple's self-directed investing accounts, where you buy and sell stocks and ETFs yourself. There is no separate code for it — S7ZV8G is the same referral code used across the eligible account types.
